The NuMBerS project is designed to underpin the teaching of numerical methods for the biosciences. It is built as a series of toolkits, some of which are web-based and interactive, whilst others are currently printable files. Please use the navigation buttons to the left of the screen to explore the resources.

Where appropriate, example data are provided that place the test or technique in context. As part of the continuing development of the project, new materials are being added and examples from other subject areas are being incorporated into some resources.

The project has been supported financially by the Higher Education Academy Centre for Bioscience and by Anglia Ruskin University. The project team comprises Dawn Hawkins, Toby Carter and Jacqui McCary (Anglia Ruskin Faculty of Science and Technology) and Philippa and Julian Priddle (Science Training & Education Partnership).

We would like to acknowledge assistance from several colleagues at Anglia Ruskin University who have supplied materials for the NuMBerS project, and from Oxford University Press for permission to reproduce items from Dawn Hawkins’ Biomeasurement textbook.
