Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions only apply to students and staff currently holding a parking permit.

  1. Parking permits for students will be valid only for the duration of the course.
  2. Parking spaces are limited and a permit does not guarantee an available space.
  3. Permit holders are responsible for notifying the Estates & Facilities Services helpdesk of any changes to permit details.
  4. Inconsiderate parking, dangerous driving or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff whilst on Anglia Ruskin University premises will result in on the first occurrence, a caution via your Anglia Ruskin email account and on the second occurrence, your permit will be withdrawn for one calendar year.

The following are examples which will trigger the above. This is not an exclusive list:

    • failure to display a valid parking permit
    • parking in a space designated for another purpose
    • parking in a designated disabled bay
    • parking outside a marked bay
    • parking which causes obstruction to traffic or pedestrian circulation
    • parking on yellow lines or hatched bays
    • exceeding 10 mph speed limit
    • failure to comply with any University traffic signage
    • failure to pay designated tariffs
    • failure to treat our staff with courtesy and respect

Repeated failure to comply with the Parking Permit Terms and Conditions may result in more formal action being taken.

  5. There is no charge for issue or amendment of permits providing the invalid permit is returned to the Helpdesk. Lost permits can be replaced for a charge of £3.00. To replace a lost permit you will be required to fill in a separate application form.
  6. Anglia Ruskin University does not accept liability for any injury, loss or damage, however caused, arising from the use of the car park.
