Facilities

The Multi-Faith Prayer Meditation and Quiet Room is predominantly a place for prayer, meditation and being quiet. There is a kitchen with mircowave which anyone can use for lunch. Please leave it tidy.

There is also a lounge that can be used for prayer, meditation and quiet. This can also be used by Muslims for prayer throughout the day with times advertised on the door. There is another room for Muslim Sisters to pray. Wudu facilities are available.

Any other bookings for the lounge room need to be made through the chaplain.

The Multi-Faith Prayer Meditation and Quiet Room is located on the ground floor corner flat in the Student Village, 90 Ransomes Way. Please note that the Chaplain's office is not in the Multi-Faith Prayer Meditation and Quiet Room but is located at MAB118, Lord Ashcroft Building.

Rules

Our University is pleased to provide on some of its campuses general quiet rooms and prayer rooms. These are provided at our university’s discretion for use by its students and staff for the observance of religious practices and non-religious reflection. The rooms are under the management, in the first instance, of the university chaplains.

If there are any questions over the rooms, our university’s senior management will make the final decisions, but they may consult the university’s Chaplaincy Council. Detailed rules for the use of the quiet and prayer rooms are drawn up by the chaplains after consultation with senior management and the Chaplaincy Council.
