Focus Groups

What are they?

Focus groups are a method of listening to the views of students on a range of topics regarding the student experience.

Why do they matter?

Focus groups are a powerful tool that allow us to 'delve deeper' into your views than is sometimes possible through a survey method. We use the results to improve your student experience.

Who can participate?

This depends on the topic and particular student cohort we need to hear from. We advertise for participants via email, the Employment Bureau, Students' Union and other methods around our University.

How can I find out more?

If you are interested in participating in one of our focus groups please email for further information.

The Student and Customer Experience team also hold focus groups on a range of topics under their Foodback for Feedback scheme. In exchange for your views, grab yourself a free meal! To find out more, visit their webpage.

Check your student email regularly for emails calling for participants. Keep an eye on the Infoscreens around campus and the Employment Bureau website, as well as the Student Services Facebook and Twitter accounts.
