Book a session with a Dyslexia or Study Support Adviser

Whatever your learning difficulty, our Study Support Advisers are here to help you with managing your studies and improving your academic skills and study strategies and become a more confident and independent learner.

You can book a one-to-one session with an Adviser to discuss strategies to help you with:

  • managing your study and meeting deadlines
  • research skills
  • effective reading
  • note taking skills
  • improving your memory
  • mind-mapping
  • planning and structuring your assignments
  • academic writing skills
  • proofreading your own work effectively
  • presentations.

However, you can discuss any specific needs or difficulties with your Study Support Adviser.

Please note: we cannot proofread your work. However, we are able to help you with developing your own proofreading skills and can discuss other tips for editing and proofreading your work.

If youre not sure about how we can help, why not come along to one of the Study Support drop ins to find out more?

What should I bring?

It would be helpful to bring some of your written work or assignment plan with you (preferably something you are currently working on), together with your module guide or assessment guidelines. You may wish to bring along a text or article to look at.

How do I book?
