Go! International Bursary

Support for undergraduate students, from a low income household, for the cost of overseas experience.

  • Home/EU Students (must be registered and in attendance)
  • Undergraduate
  • Full & Part time (not distance learners)
  • Core Campus*
  • Household income of less than £25,000
  • One off grant of up to 800 (pro-rata for part-time students) per academic year. All students will be considered for up to 500 with an additional amount of up to 300 considered for students who are: BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic); lone parents; cares, care leavers (under 25), estranged students (under 25) and students with disabilities/health issues.
  • Must be able to evidence & supporting statement form faculty if non-ARU organised engagement on an overseas experience such as:
    • Study Abroad
    • Overseas Placement
    • Overseas Internship
    • Overseas Field Trips
    • Overseas Volunteering
    • International Community Experiences (I.e. Mission Botswana)
    • Other overseas course enrichment (at discretion of assessor)

*Most students studying with CRIC will be eligible to apply but please check before you apply

Deadline for application

This fund is now open and students need to apply by the following deadlines:

2 trimester based students – non final year 

30th June 2020*

2 trimester based students – final year

31st May 2020*

3 trimester based students – non final year
(i.e. Nursing, Paramedic Science, ODP, Midwifery & accelerated courses)

14th September 2020*

3 trimester based students – final year
(i.e. Nursing, Paramedic Science,ODP, Midwifery & accelerated courses)

30th August 2020*

*Please note that this final submission date must include a fully and accurately completed application form and the relevant evidence. If applying near to a deadline you are advised to make an appointment with a Student Money Adviser to help you with your application and evidence.
