Support and Wellbeing

We want you to have a happy, successful time here at Anglia Ruskin. If you have any concerns – big or small – or if you're studying with a disability, medical condition or learning difficulty, we have a wide range of support available.

Counselling and Wellbeing

We offer a fully confidential service to promote mental health and wellbeing. You can talk to us about anything that's worrying you from minor concerns to major issues, from grief to relationship difficulties, panic attacks, exam anxieties, stress, and anything else. We offer:

  • Professional and confidential support
  • Talking in confidence about any worries or issues
  • Finding out how to improve your wellbeing


Disability and Dyslexia Support

Our Disability and Dyslexia Support offers information, advice and specialist support to students with disabilities, including mental health difficulties, ongoing medical conditions and specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia. We can help with:

  • Studying with a disability, medical condition or specific learning
  • Reasonable Adjustments, including individual exam requirements
  • Applying for Disabled Students’ Allowances
  • Providing workshops, drop-ins, specialist support and online resources.


Anglia Access Centre

The Anglia Access Centre carries out DSA (Disabled Students' Allowance) assessments. We have a team of skilled Study Aids and Strategies Assessors who can find the right solutions to allow you to reach your true potential on your course. We provide:
