Health Care Science
The degree is accredited by the National School of Healthcare Science as part of Health Education England and can lead to careers in healthcare science (physiological sciences) - either in cardiovascular or respiratory disciplines as well as with patients who have difficulties with sleep. Cardiac and Respiratory Practitioners work in a variety of hospital clinics and departments, and increasingly within the community.

Medical Science
Opportunities for Medical Science graduates include the following areas, research scientist, lab technician, scientific writer, medical and healthcare regulations, patent law, clinical trials or medical sales.
Many opportunities recommend study of a range of Masters of Science courses or to choose a patient focused discipline such as Physician Associate (two years Masters programme) or to complete a PGCE and enter teaching. Students with usually a 2:1 or above could apply for Graduate Entry Medicine programmes.

Career opportunities for nutrition are available in the health and sports sector, food and pharmaceutical industries, public health, clinical research and the option of working freelance can exist for those who have gained experience in the field.
A requirement of most nutritionist roles is to be registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN).
