Collaborative Research

If you are engaged in collaborative research where another Higher Education Institute (HEI) is the Lead organisation we may accept their ethical approval as equivalent to our own. You need to send the relevant FREP and approval notification from the lead HEI and wait for permission to proceed.

Where Anglia Ruskin is the Lead HEI, you need to obtain ethical approval from the relevant DREP/FREP. You need to check that other collaborators have obtained ethical approval from their own institution if required and clarified their insurance arrangements.  Alternatively, ethical approval may be conditional on ethical approval being obtained from collaborating HEIs if required and insurance arrangements clarified. In your application for research ethics approval you must list the collaborating researchers and their HEIs.
