New CIHE study into the impact of Writing Retreats

Cassie Fox - August 14th, 11:10

The Centre for Innovation in Higher Education (CIHE) and Anglia Learning & Teaching (ALT) are working together to build the Pedagogic Research Community across Anglia Ruskin University.

The Community is supported through monthly Pedagogic Research meetings in both Cambridge and Chelmsford, and through full-day Writing Retreats several times a year. These provide colleagues engaged in pedagogic research an opportunity for supported writing.

Now, a new research study is investigating whether attending a Writing Retreat has an ongoing impact on participants’ writing habits. The research is being carried out by Dr Simon Pratt-Adams and Dr Emma Coonan from CIHE and Mark Warnes from ALT. Their preliminary findings have already been presented at the 5th International Conference on Higher Education Advances (HEAd’19) held in Valencia, Spain in June 2019.

Please visit our dedicated research webpage for more information.

If you have any questions about the project, or would like to take part, please contact Dr Emma Coonan via emma.coonan@anglia.ac.uk.
