Dry January 2019

Charlotte Blackman - December 5th, 14:41

If you’re interested in getting healthier, sleeping better, losing weight or improving your skin, why not take part in Dry January or Dryathlon (for Cancer Research) and go booze free during January 2019?

Drinking too much can give you liver problems, reduced fertility, high blood pressure, increased risk of various cancers and cause heart attacks. There is no guaranteed safe level of drinking, but by drinking less than the recommended daily limits, your risks of harming your health are lower. Try the alcohol unit calculator to see how many units are in your tipple during this festive season.

You can also help to raise money for charity, and save yourself some money! If you’d like to take part, keep us updated with how you’re getting on by tweeting us at @AngliaRuskin throughout January.

Contact information for advice, support and helpful resources for dealing with alcohol related issues are available on our Workplace Health and Wellbeing webpages
