The Academic Registry's Business Intelligence Service comprises eleven staff, led by the Head of Business Intelligence, Lucy Chapman, and is located in Eastwood House (1st Floor) in Chelmsford and Abbeygate House (1st Floor) in Cambridge.

The Business Intelligence Service supports Anglia Ruskin’s strategic planning process through co-ordination of the annual strategic planning cycle ensuring that the individual plans of Faculties and Professional Services are integrated and contribute to Anglia Ruskin’s mission and achievement of the Corporate Strategy. In fulfilling this role the Service manages the provision of management information across Anglia Ruskin (including key performance indicators, benchmarking, statistical/database information and forecasting) to support the planning process and inform discussions and decisions of senior managers in Faculties and Professional Services

An overview of responsibilities

1. To support Anglia Ruskin University's Strategic Planning process through:

  • Co-ordinating the annual Strategic Planning round/Budget meetings
  • Support for developing corporate plans - Mission and Values

2. Co-ordinate formal external submissions through:

  • Interaction through HEFCE and other Agencies
  • Responding to consultations/surveys

3. Provision of market analysis and student profiling for Strategic and Curriculum Planning through:

  • Policy Updates
  • Environmental Scanning
  • Analysis of Curriculum demand and impact of external and statutory changes
