The Research Degrees Regulations

On this page, students and staff will find:

Introduction

The Research Degrees Regulations provide the regulatory framework for Anglia Ruskin's postgraduate research provision, setting and maintaining the academic standard of all courses leading to an Anglia Ruskin award at all delivery points including UK and international Associate Colleges.

The Research Degrees Regulations are monitored and maintained by the Research Degrees Committee (reporting to the Senate's Research & Innovation Committee). Any proposals for revisions to the Research Degrees Regulations are developed by the Research Degrees Committee and submitted to the Senate for formal approval.

Twentieth Edition (September 2019)

The Senate approved amendments to the Research Degrees Regulations in June 2019 and these apply for the 2019/20 academic year:

  • From September 2019, these regulations are no longer pritned in hard copy and are only available in an electronic format - both of the full document and of individual sections - can be downloaded from the links below;
  • For each section, an alternative accessible format is provided. These formats are lengthier in terms of page numbers (due to the increased line spacing throughout the text) but the actual text itself is identical in all formats.
