Building TeachInclusive
TeachInclusive was built without a specific budget using freely available and open source software. This page provides information and web-links to
some of the resources that we have used.
Software
- Media Player: The JW FLV Media Player is used to display our video content
- Subtitle Workshop: Produces captions in timed text format suitable for use in the JW FLV Media Player
- Screen Reader technology: Jaws was chosen to test TeachInclusive's performance when accessed by screen readers
Validators
- Standards Validation: The Fujitsu Web Accessibility Inspector was used to run automated validation against w3c web standards
- Color Validation: The Fujitsu Color Selector checks that there is sufficient contrast between text and background colours
