About the module catalogue

The module catalogue outlines the modules that are part of each course. Your course has compulsory modules at each level which you must complete. Some courses also have optional modules available that you can select from, however these may vary each year and on each campus.

There are always two catalogues available for each campus; one for the current academic year, and one for the next year for future planning.

Using the module catalogue:

  • Enter the module catalogue
  • Select the year and campus
  • Select your faculty, department and course to view available compulsory and optional modules
  • If you would like to know more about a particular module, click on the code/title to access the ‘Module Definition Form‘ (MDF) to view the module‘s content and assessment information

Your faculty may change MDF content; we will always ensure we are displaying the current version. If your course combines two subjects you need to select the subject which is listed first. For example, ‘Psychology and Criminology‘ will be found under ‘Faculty of Science and Technology‘ and then ‘Psychology‘.

Module selection

If all of your modules are compulsory, you will be automatically enrolled. To check which modules you are enrolled on go to ‘view my modules‘ in e:Vision.

If you need to select any optional choices, you need to complete module selection.
