Queens - left of entrance door (Harmony statue side)
Student Village - left of Student Village entrance
Mildmay - left of entrance barrier and two on the Piazza

I am new to Anglia Ruskin. Can I get a parking permit?

No, only Blue Badge Holders are entitled to park in disabled bays. Please contact Facilities helpdesk to book your space. Students with Blue Badges need to contact Student Services.

What if I come to Chelmsford from Cambridge to attend a meeting/teach etc?

If your base is at Cambridge you are able to book a visitors space subject to availability via the helpdesk on ext. 6464. If spaces are not available please use park and ride facilities on Regiment Way which will drop you off in the centre of campus.

Will I be charged extra if I start earlier than 7am or leave after 4.30pm?

No, see tariffs for individual car park charges.

If I enter a car park at 4pm does it mean I will not be charged, as parking is free for 30 minutes and no charge is made after 4.30pm?

If you leave within 30 minutes you will not be charged, however, if your stay exceeds 30 minutes regardless (i.e. enter at 4pm, leave at 4.35pm 35 minutes) you will still be charged 50p. Tickets under 30 minutes do not have to be validated.

If I wish to use the car parks in the evening (after 4.30pm) or at the weekend, will I have to pay?

No, after 4.30pm no payment is required. The barrier will operate on a take ticket basis, please retain this ticket and use in the exit terminal. No ID cards will be required. Overnight parking is not permitted, please call 6464 or Security to advise in case of emergency.

What do I do if I have a problem?

There are intercom machines on all barriers and pay stations. These will be manned by Facilities helpdesk between 8am - 5.30pm and Security between 5.30pm - 8am. CCTV cameras are in operation at all pay stations and barriers.

Can I book into the visitors car park if I am working away from Chelmsford in the morning?

No, please use the short stay car parks.

If I purchase a ticket for an all day car park, does that entitle me to exit and return on the same day?

No, please use the short stay car parks. Re-admittance using your original ticket is not possible.

Can I book a parking space to attend medical appointments?

No, please use the short stay car parks.

How long can I park for loading or unloading my vehicle?

If you are in the car park for less than 30 minutes there is no charge. If you require longer access please make arrangements with the Estates & Facilities Services helpdesk.
