Anglia Ruskin's Equality Policy Framework

You can find our equality and diversity policies and documentation below:

Valuing Diversity and Promoting Equality is the overarching statement of principle, summarising our commitment to maximising the potential of all our staff and students, and to equip students for life in a multicultural and diverse society. The aim of the policy is to provide a supportive environment in which to work and study, and where we will treat each other with dignity, courtesy and respect.

    Valuing Diversity and Promoting Equality

This policy statement is supported by:

  • Dignity at Work and Study. This document sets out what is, and is not, considered acceptable behaviour while at work or study and was approved by our Corporate Management Team in June 2015. It includes information about bullying and harassment. Further information and advice is available in the Treating People with Dignity, Courtesy and Respect - Guidelines for Staff. (You will need to log in with your user name and password).
  • Dignity at work and study code of conduct

  • Disability in the Workplace which outlines our commitment to supporting disabled staff and helping staff to progress regardless of their disability. We are accredited as a Disability Confident Employer and we operate a Job Interview Guarantee Scheme whereby disabled applicants who wish to participate in the scheme are guaranteed an interview, providing they meet the essential criteria of the job applied for. This guidance document was approved by CMT in March 2017 and applies to all staff.
  • Disability in the Workplace Guidance

  • Flexible Working, which seeks to accommodate individual staff needs alongside those of colleagues and the work of our university. The right to request flexible working extends to all Anglia Ruskin staff, who are encouraged from the outset to consider the impact of their request on others, and on their work. You can access our policy and guidance notes at the link below, (you will need to log on with your username and password to access these documents.).
