Personal Tutor Toolkit

We assign each first year student a named member of academic staff as a personal tutor. We do this because we know that students need a connection with an academic experienced in their subject area.

A full leaflet detailing more about what a personal tutor can offer students will soon be available for download below, amongst a variety of other resources that we feel both staff and students may find of use.

Following the publication in September 2008 of the leaflets outlining the Personal Tutor Role, a new role description has been added to our Curriculum Roles.
