Student Money Advice Service Information for Staff

The Student Money Advice Service provides specialist impartial and confidential information and advice about all aspects of student financial support including student funding, entitlement to welfare benefits and money management. The Money Advisers offer daily drop-in sessions for quick queries as well as email and telephone service.

We offer students:

  • Advice and information on student finances, funding and grant eligibility and entitlement, including debt advice.
  • Help with money management and maximising income.
  • Advice and information for student parents.
  • Advice on repeating periods of study and on the financial impact of withdrawing and intermitting.
  • Advice on welfare benefits and tax credits.
  • Information on applying to the Anglia Ruskin Hardship Fund.

How do we work with and support Course Leaders and Faculties

  • Provide information on the services we provide.
  • Provide information and advice on student funding to staff who are studying.
  • Build awareness and knowledge of the student financial support available to students.
  • Contribute to organised events by providing representation.
