The Student Satisfaction Improvement Group (SSIG)

The Student Satisfaction Improvement Group (SSIG) was set up in May 2010 with the specific remit of improving student satisfaction. The Group has representatives from the Students’ Union, each faculty and from student facing support services and is Chaired by Professor Helen Valentine, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Advanced Systems) with Julie Walkling, Director of Student Services as Vice-Chair.

The Group meets monthly by videolink for one hour in meetings which are “businesslike and snappy”! Our intention is to ensure that we get things done. You can see our terms of reference but in summary we aim to:

“To continue the progress made in enhancing student satisfaction at Anglia Ruskin as measured by the NSS, SES and other surveys in order to achieve our Corporate Plan 2012-2014 target 1 that "more than 90% of our students will succeed, be satisfied and will recommend us to a friend".
