Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)

PRES logo

We are participating in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2015. The Survey is open from Monday 2 March 2015 and closes on Thursday 28 May 2015.

The PRES, which is run every two years, provides an opportunity for research students to tell us about the experience of studying for a research degree at Anglia Ruskin University. The responses are vital to understand the research student experience at our University and to highlight any future improvements that will enhance that experience.

It is a national survey that is run by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and we can compare our overall results against other institutions.  Obviously, the more people who complete the Survey, the more representative the results will be.

The HEA requires that each participant has a unique user name and password as a condition of us taking part in the survey.  This is to ensure that only the intended participants complete the PRES.  Before analysing or sharing any of the data, user name and password information will be permanently removed from the system and this will protect the anonymity and confidentiality of the responses.

To access the Survey, you will need the username and password credentials supplied to you sent to your student email address via the research student mailbase. The Survey itself can be accessed here:

For every complete response received, our University will donate £2, split between the following four charities which have been selected by the Anglia Ruskin Students' Union:

  • the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre
  • J's Hospce, Chelmsford
  • Peterborough & Fenland Mind
  • Médecins Sans Frontières
