£5 Amazon voucher for taking part in a driving study!

Hi everyone,

Me and my supervisor are conducting a research project that investigates the effects that hearing a ringtone has on your ability to detect hazards while driving. If you agree to detect hazards while driving. If you agree to take part in the study, the researcher will invite you to schedule a session in the lab at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. You will be presented with a series of driving scenes on a computer screen, and asked to indicate when a hazard occurs. You will also be presented with questionnaires looking at self-regulation and impulsivity and with a working memory task. You will also be asked to bring your mobile phone with you.

To take part in the study you have to be aged 18+ and you must have held a full UK driving licence for at least TWO YEARS. The study will last approximately 30 minutes. You will be awarded £5 Amazon voucher for taking part in the study.

The study has received ethics approval by the Psychology Departmental Research Ethics Panel (DREP) and ratified by the Faculty Research Ethics Panel under the terms of Anglia Ruskin University’s Policy and Code of Practice for the Conduct of Research with Human Participants.
