ACTORS NEEDED FOR STAGE FRIGHT RESEARCH

n/a - January 9th, 14:32

Hi everyone,

My name is Johanna and I am currently conducting my undergraduate research for my dissertation. The purpose of this study is to identify if certain personality types and traits are more pre-disposed to performance anxiety.
The research needs actors who have insight dealing with stage fright whether in class or in performances outside of class. You are invited to participate by completing a survey about acting and stage fright, followed by a personality test which only needs completion if unfamiliar with personality types. All in all this should take no more than 15 minutes.
Aside from it being hopefully a pleasant distraction in the middle of the workday, there are real benefits to participating. It will give you a better understanding of yourself as well as the others around you. By participating you will be helping the researcher to identify the factors that might cause stage fright in actors and whether that is linked with personality types as expected. It is also important for the participants without performance anxiety to take part to see the key differences within individuals.

This study obtained ethical approval from an ethics committee at Anglia Ruskin University.

Participation conditions:
Anyone with any acting experience, over 18, with any cultural background as long as you are currently based in the United Kingdom

You can find the survey, and Participant Information Sheet at:

Thank you for your time!
