Both Anglia Ruskin University and Healthcare Organisations who provide placements for our healthcare students are committed to quality of supervision and quality of patient care. It is important that students are being appropriately supervised and assessed by mentors who are positive role models and who support care that embraces the underpinning principles and values of the NHS Constitution.
If you have any concerns about patient care you should initially discuss your concerns with your mentor and/or the person in charge of the placement. If you are unable to do this then please contact your Education Champion for the relevant Healthcare Organisation, or your Personal Tutor as soon as possible. It is important that you speak to someone immediately. It is not good practice to wait until you come into the university to speak to your personal tutor as, during that period of time, the situation which concerns you may continue.Anglia Ruskin University is committed to promoting transparency and support for all our students to ensure the issues are resolved.
The Education Champion/link team are there to support you and help you make the most of your placement. If you have experienced any challenges or concerns in relation to supervision in practice, please share your concerns with the Education Champion/link team whose contact details are below. Alternatively if you are a midwifery student you may want to share your concerns with your personal tutor. Student forums are also held regularly in each Healthcare Organisation where you will be given the opportunity to discuss your experiences in practice.Go to right hand side links go to local menu Go to main menu
