Please see the Research Development and Commercial Services pages for information on applying for research funding, both UK research funding and European and International Research Funding. These pages include information on funding news, funding sources and full economic costing.
All Anglia Ruskin University staff should also be able to access the Research Professional funding database, where they can set email alerts and search for relevant funding opportunities and research/funding news. For further information about funding opportunities and accessing the research database please contact Joanne Vine.
Research students can also find funding information on the ALSS PG Study website.
Anyone who is undertaking a research project/dissertation needs to consider whether or not their research complies with ethics guidance. Please read the guidance on the RDCS website and read the research ethics handbook.
All students undertaking research need to complete a checklist (see link above), in the first instance, and then a full ethics application if necessary. If you are undertaking interviews, for example, you will need to complete an ethics application form.
Please be cognizant of this if you begin any new research projects. Please note you cannot be given retrospective Ethics approval. If you supervise students you are deemed to be responsible for ensuring they have the correct level of approval.
