Strategic Planning and Policy Unit

 

The Strategic Planning & Policy Unit comprises eight staff, led by Ruth Bourne, Head of Strategic Planning & Policy Unit (and Assistant Director of the Academic Office) and is located in Ashby House (2nd floor) in Chelmsford and St George House (2nd floor) in Cambridge.

The Strategic Planning and Policy Unit supports Anglia Ruskin’s strategic planning process through coordination of the annual strategic planning cycle and the associated budget meetings, ensuring that the individual plans of Faculties and Support Services are integrated and contribute to Anglia Ruskin’s Vision and achievement of the Corporate Plan. In fulfilling this role the Unit manages the provision of management information across Anglia Ruskin (including key performance indicators, benchmarking, statistical/database information and forecasting) to support the planning process and inform discussions and decisions of senior managers in Faculties and Support Services

What does Strategic Planning and Policy incorporate?


An overview of responsibilities

1. Corporate Plan 2012-2014

2. To support Anglia Ruskin University's Strategic Planning process through:

  • Co-ordinating the annual Strategic Planning round/Budget meetings
  • Support for developing corporate plans - Vision and Values

3. Co-ordinate formal external submissions through:

  • Interaction through HEFCE and other Agencies
  • Responding to consultations/surveys

4. Provision of market analysis and student profiling for Strategic and Curriculum Planning through:

  • Policy Updates
  • Environmental Scanning
  • Analysis of Curriculum demand and impact of external and statutory changes
