The Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for administering and facilitating the operation of Anglia Ruskin's quality assurance and enhancement policies and procedures. The Unit comprises a team of 21 staff, lead by the Assistant Director of the Academic Office and Head of Quality Assurance, Caroline Watts. The Unit is located at Abbeygate House (1st Floor) in Cambridge and Ashby House (2nd Floor) in Chelmsford.

The Unit's responsibilities include the co-ordination and administration of Anglia Ruskin's examinations, the management of the academic appeals process, procedures for the approval and review of collaborative partnerships, the course (re-)approval, annual monitoring and the appointment and induction of External Examiners.
