The Academic Registry's Quality Assurance Service is responsible for administering and facilitating the operation of Anglia Ruskin's quality assurance and enhancement policies and procedures. The Service comprises a team of 21 staff, led by the Assistant Academic Registrar (Academic Governance), Caroline Watts. The Service is located at Abbeygate House (1st Floor) in Cambridge and Ashby House (2nd Floor) in Chelmsford.
The Service's responsibilities include the co-ordination and administration of Anglia Ruskin's examinations, the management of the academic appeals process, procedures for the approval and review of collaborative partnerships, the course (re-)approval, annual monitoring and the appointment and induction of External Examiners. The Service provides advice and guidance on the development of quality assurance and enhancement policies and procedures and coordinates visits by external bodies, for example the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). We also provide administrative support to Faculties for visits by Professional, Statutory or Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs).
