Faculty Student Review Subcommittees

Student Review is the process through which Faculties both take decisions on appropriate actions following recommendation by Programme Review and also recommend to the Anglia Ruskin Awards Board appropriate actions for those categories requiring further decision under the regulations.

Faculty Student Review Subcommittee documentation comprises schedules prepared by Programme reviewers, identifying those students whose academic standing requires a decision either at Student Review or to be presented to the Awards Board.  Schedules are grouped according to category as identified in Regulation 7.26. and presented together with student profiles showing the individual progress to date, including any recent mitigation decisions.  Specifically decisions to be taken at Student Review include:

  • Resit module with attendance
  • Replace a designated module
  • Transfer to a lower award
  • Transfer to another pathway
  • Transfer to a Framework Award
  • Vary form or timing of re-assessment
  • Alleged assessment offences (for decision by Awards Board)
  • Placement Hours (if applicable)
  • Prizes (if applicable)

Those matters considered at Student Review that require a recommendation to the Awards Board for decision are:

  • Compensation
  • Continuation & Discontinuation
  • Transferred Credit

The decisions of the Student Review Subcommittee are recorded by the Executive Secretary on the student records system.
