Founded in Cambridge in 1911, Ridgeons Timber & Builders Merchants is the independent specialist merchants for building and construction products in the East of England. With 21 merchant branches covering Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, the Ridgeon Group, continues to expand. Each branch stocks a wide range of products, with Specialist Centres for Building Materials, Paving and Decking, Timber and Boards, Hand and Power Tools, Ironmongery, Plumbing and Decorating in all branches. Ridgeons head office is based in Cambridge, and the Ridgeon Group today remains family owned and operated, employing over 950 staff, stocking over 50,000 items with a turnover in 2007 of £130m.
